The Aggressive Personality

An aggressive person is sometimes hard to deal with, especially if they catch you off guard.  They absolutely love confrontation.  Anytime they get an opportunity they will attempt to challenge you as a person and at times take a crack at challenging your authority.  They would rather debate you than obey you. To be successful you MUST know how to deal with them.I love watching the reruns of the Dog Whisperer on the National Geographic channel. Hmm, maybe you’d want to back them in a corner and roll them on their back but just don’t engage emotionally. Wait out the emotions and continue to be civil. Easier said than done. Probably good advice, though.

  2. Ray's Mom says:

There are people who will become civil when compromised, then wait patiently until you are in a vulnerable situation then strike out at you again hoping to make you ‘pay for their pain’. You may have overcome the aggressive dog, momentarily – but always watch your back.

I agree, but it is never easy. I had a subordinate who was a bully, and it took some time to “cool him down”

so by the way, what do you think about when the aggressive person shows his behavior again, do we still need ‘a indefinite patient’ to treat them in the same way?or do you have another ideas how to overcome?thanks
